The collection contains four items: a "minute" book which contains the constitution, by-laws and minutes of the meetings of the Pendleton Cornet Band from 1876-1878; The Pendleton Cornet cash book from 1876-1890; a negative of a picture of the Pendleton Cornet Band Wagon; and a copy of a May 27, 1962 newsclipping about the band from the Anderson Independent.
The Pendleton Farmers' Society was organized on June 12, 1815, as the "Farmers Society of Pendleton District"; its first president was Thomas Pinckney, Jr. The Pendleton Farmers' Society's original building, the Pendleton Farmers' Hall located on the square in Pendleton, South Carolina, is considered to be the oldest farmers' hall in the United States.
Collection consists of a photocopy of the December 24, 1975, cover letter from Althea Harlin of La France Industries to Priscilla Sutcliffe, Clemson University Libraries and photocopies of weekly wage timesheets for October 5, 12 and December 28, 1901, and January 4, 1902, listing number of days worked, rate per day and total amount earned.

This collection contains one envelope and one parole document dated April 10, 1865, Appomattox Court House, Virginia for Private J.E. Perry of Company B, First South Carolina Volunteer Regiment and signed by the commanding officer A.P. Butler, Lieutenant Colonel.
