Two diaries covering the period April 30, 1918, Anne Redfern's 18th birthday, to May 29, 1924. The diaries recount her personal life, including social events and her activities as a student at Winthrop College. She also describes her family life in Clemson and experiences as a teacher in Valdosta, GA, Hartsville, SC, and Marion, SC.

The Francis Burt letter contains information about his family and their service in the Revolutionary War.
The papers are primarily from 1980, with some correspondence beginning in 1976, and concern a controversy regarding the leadership of former Greenville County Museum of Art director Jack Morris. The collection includes transcripts, newspaper clippings, magazine articles and correspondence.
