The Franklin Wallace Photographs consist of seven photographs and a letter documenting Wallace’s service in 2005 as a first lieutenant in Baghdad, Iraq.
This collection is open to the public without restriction.
Franklin Wallace served in Iraq in 2005 as a first lieutenant training Iraqi security forces. He resigned his commission and became a warrant officer in order to train as a helicopter pilot. In 2008 he served in Korea and in 2009 Wallace was a medical-evacuation helicopter pilot with the 2nd Infantry Division attached to the 101st Airborne Division in Afghanistan.

The Franklin Wallace Photographs are a useful resource in documenting the Iraq War 2003-2011 by illustrating First Lieutenant Wallace’s tour of duty in Baghdad in 2005.
