This series contains correspondence, memoranda, minutes of meetings, photographs, maps, reports, and publications. The records were generated by the Deans of the School of Agriculture, the College of Agriculture, and the College of Agricultural Sciences. The series spans the years 1937-1990.
Correspondence files comprise the bulk of the series. Major correspondents include Deans H. P. Cooper, Milton D. Farrar, William H. Wiley, J. H. Jones, and Luther P. Anderson. In 1987 Stephen Chapman succeeded Luther Anderson; the Chapman files, however, are not found in this series.
Other files document various activities of the South Carolina Agricultural Experiment Station, the Cooperative Extension Service, and departments within the College. The departments represented include Agricultural Chemical Services, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Education, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy and Soils, Animal Science, Dairy Science, Division of Regulatory and Public Service Programs, Entomology and Zoology, Fertilizer Inspection and Analysis, Food Science, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Poultry Science, and Seed Certification.
There are no restrictions on use and access. Items may be reproduced by various means in accordance with Unit policies.

The provenance of this series consists of the following accessions: 86-98, 86-146, 88-7, 88-51, and 88-106.
