The collection consists of a copy of "Harewood Residents since Colonel Samuel Washington" and correspondence relating to its donation to the Clemson University Libraries. The piece contains genealogical information, biographies, anecdotes, and transcriptions of letters relating to members of the Washington family who lived at Harewood, a home located near Charles Town, West Virginia, and was written by Dr. Washington for a 1970 Washington family gathering that marked the end of 200 years of occupancy of the residence.
