The South Carolina Livestock supplement was in the February 11, 1919, issue of the Charleston, SC, News and Courier newspaper. The supplement is dedicated to the revival of the livestock industry in the coastal area of South Carolina which had declined with the rise of cotton growing in the late 1700's. The supplement emphasizes articles and advertisements pertaining to the livestock industry. Several articles concern the eradication of the cattle tick and the part played by Dr. W.K. Lewis in its eradication.
