Company involvement in the community was very important to the employees and the company itself. This involvement included charitable organizations, councils,boards and commissions and statewide organizations. Charitable organizations include the American Red Cross; Carolina United Community Services and United Community Chest. These records include correspondence and committee meeting reports. Inclusive dates are 1921-1963. The councils, boards and commissions include correspondence primarily from the Spartanburg County dating mainly from 1957-1963. A small amount of material from the South Carolina National Guard, correspondence 1908-1913, is also included in this series.
